Water-Soluble – reduces patient discomfort while not compromising the integrity of instruments

Sterile – helps prevents cross-contamination and hospital acquired infections

Bacteriostatic – helps prevent the growth and reproduction of bacteria

Latex-free – latex is a known allergen and can cause simple contact dermatitis to a full anaphylactic reaction

Additionally, you want to be mindful of carbomer, CHG, parabens, and glycerin. Take a look at your lubricant packaging to see if any of these features are mentioned.
